What is VPS.NET Web Hosting?

VPS.Net is an unconventional web hosting service provider. The company focuses entirely on providing cloud VPS services, forgoing traditional server-based hosting services that are part of the course. Founded in 2009, VPS.Net is part of the UK2Group and serves more than 10000 clients in over 180 countries.

The global presence of the company, coupled with its agenda of focusing only on providing cloud infrastructure services gives it a certain edge over its competitors. Unlike most hosting service providers, VPS.Net does not need to dilute its resources overseeing a large number of hosting services and plans; the company offers only one service and does it well. So are its services any good? Read the full review to find out.

VPS.NET Reviews on Hosting Plans and Services

VPS.NET  Reviews on VPS Hosting Plan

VPS.Net provides only VPS hosting, or virtual private server plans across a number of price points. True to its name, you will not find any conventional shared hosting or dedicated server hosting plans with VPS.Net. That is not a bad thing though; offering only one service allows a company to significantly streamline its operation.

For a small company with limited resources, this can be a really good thing. While the company had humble beginnings, VPS.Net is definitely not a small company anymore. However, it has chosen to stick to providing the services it does best, and we are not complaining.

The company’s traditional VPS services come in two flavors. Its SSD VPS plans offer traditional VPS plans running on full SSD infrastructure. Using solid state drives (SSDs) instead of traditional spinning hard drives removes a large performance bottleneck, which can be an issue in high load situations.

The plans start at USD 5 per month for 512 MB of RAM, 15 GB of storage space, 1 TB of transfer bandwidth, and access to 1 CPU core and go all the way up to USD 192 per month for 16 GB of RAM, 400 GB of storage space, 7 TB of transfer bandwidth, and access to 4 CPU cores.

All SSD VPS plans also come with the option to be stored on one of ten company data centers, located in New York City, Salt Lake City, London, Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Vancouver, Dallas, and Miami. This allows optimising your website to focus on the geographic region that is supposed to send the majority of web traffic your way.

You also get your choice of operating system. CentOS and Ubuntu are available as free upgrades while Windows Server and CentOS with the cPanel control interface are also available as paid add-ons. VPS.Net also offers SSL security certificates free of cost, which is a very big deal when you consider that virtually no other hosting service provider does this.

SSL security is usually a paid add-on, so it is certainly refreshing to see a hosting service provider offering this essential and crucial service at no additional cost. VPS.Net also offers free site migration and set up services to ease your transition from your present host to a better deal with VPS.Net.

VPS.NET  Reviews on Cloud Hosting Plan

For more resource intensive purposes and business clients, VPS.Net has its traditional cloud VPS plans. A single node cloud platform costs USD 15 per month and comes with 1 CPU core, 512 MB of RAM, 3 TB of transfer bandwidth, and 10 GB of storage space.

The highest end plan costs USD 240 per month and comes with 8 CPU cores, 8 GB of RAM, 48 TB of transfer bandwidth, and 160 GB of storage space.

If you are still not satisfied, VPS.Net also has a “Power Pack” option that allows doubling your CPU and memory resources in high load situations. Transition happens seamlessly since VPS.Net includes all time server density monitoring, which automatically allocates more resources without leading to any service outage or delays.

Power Pack usage also comes with unlimited bandwidth when activated. However, it is subject to a fair usage policy that is applicable, so make sure you read the fine print before signing up.

For web developers and design studios who want to bundle hosting with their design and development services, VPS.Net also offers a Cloud Reseller plan. These services are completely white label, including the control panel interface, which means you retain total administrative control over the user experience you provide your customers. Reseller plans are custom built offerings, so if you are interested, give VPS.Net customer service a call.

VPS.NET Reviews on WordPress Hosting

Being a full cloud-based service provider, the company does not offer traditional WordPress plans. Because of their shared hosting nature, these plans do not guarantee good performance. However, VPS.Net has an industry-leading cloud hosting platform that supports all major CMS platforms, including WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, and many others.

Any pre-existing WordPress site is guaranteed to work as designed on VPS.Net servers. The company also offers a free site migration and set up service that will automatically transition your existing website onto VPS.Net platform without any hiccups.

VPS.NET Reviews on Support and Customer Service

Customer support is a top priority at VPS.Net. The company offers top-notch technical support and customer service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You can reach customer service by email, IM, or telephone.

Technical support is staffed by trained personnel who can provide solutions to any problem within minutes. An automated ticketing system ensures that you do not need to wait long before a customer service representative reaches out.

VPS.NET Reviews on Uptime Performance and Server Status

The company provides superior hosting services from 10 company-owned data centers as well as 22 other globally located centers across 5 continents. All its services are backed by a 100% service level agreement or SLA. Server uptime status has been consistently exemplary with VPS.Net ever since its foundation. Its history shows no signs of extended downtime or speed decreases.
